Learn Soft Skills and Critical Thinking Through fieldX's New Micro-Learning Lab Platform

fieldXperience’s micro-learning platform officially launched this month! Learners are now able to fully access the fieldX curriculum on their phones from our website and level up through the soft skill lessons. Soft skills like listening, critical thinking and negotiation are valuable assets in a real-world work environment but require practice outside a college classroom. fieldX’s micro-lessons are custom-crafted by our learning scientists to engage fieldXers’ cognitive abilities to enhance their decision making skills. With each lesson completed, Learners are that much closer to the ultimate fieldXperience, subsequently kick starting their careers.

fieldXers Hit a Home Run at California Strong Celebrity Softball Game

On January 12, 2020, fieldXers had the opportunity to work the second annual California Strong Celebrity Softball Game. California Strong is an organization that provides financial support to those who have been affected by a California disaster or other event. As you can imagine, coordinating a celebrity softball game involves many moving parts.

John Swidzinski of Swidzinski Sport Management had nothing but high praise for the fieldX team. “I couldn’t have done this without the fieldX team. They’re top-notch, all professional and really came through in the clutch when I needed them.”

fieldXers Fred Watts, Riley Wagner, Jason Riske and Steve Scott took on roles to check in, escort and manage celebrity talent, manage media and event set up. “The training that we received prepared us for success and really helped us feel connected to the California Strong team,” said college freshman Steve Scott. “I felt ready, prepared and that I was put in a position to shine and Xcel,” added senior Fred Watts.

We are so proud to have our young Learners Xcel in their Xperiences and stand out in the field. Well done fieldXers! Keep up the good work! Check out the gallery below of fieldXers and celebrity tournament players Adam Sandler, Rob Lowe and Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun!
