fieldX Got the Xperience of a Lifetime at Super Bowl LIV!

Barry Kates, president of Super Bowl’s host committee partner, Innovative Marketing Group, said that the fieldX team came through for him with flying colors. fieldXers were tasked with many Super Bowl Live pregame roles like zone managers, talent wranglers, guest relations, food and beverage managers, VIP zone hosts, content creators, red carpet relations, even water taxi concierge and more.

“By putting these young adults into these roles, we gave them an opportunity to go ahead and think on their own and to make decisions. Whether they made a mistake or didn’t make a mistake, we empowered them to go ahead and make those decisions.” Kates was so pleased with the wonderful impression the fieldXers made on him, that he looks forward to an ongoing relationship with fieldXperience at Mecum Auctions and many more future events on the horizon.

Send Us Your One Shining Moment

We are very excited to announce that fieldX will be assisting Turner Broadcasting and the NCAA with a new initiative and helping with outreach to all NCAA member schools. For the first time ever, music will literally be “playing” a bigger role during March Madness and the Road to the Final Four this year! The NCAA and Turner are inviting musicians of all kinds to participate in the ONE SHINING MOMENT CHALLENGE (see the note from composer David Barrett below). As a fieldX friend, we encourage you to either submit an entry or forward to a musical friend because this is your chance for you to be a part of this new OSM Challenge bracket! The world is waiting to hear and see what your rendition is!

Jim and Monique Brown Bestowed Inaugural fieldXcellence Award for Commitment to Lifelong Learning

NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown was not only recently selected as the first member of the NFL All-Time Team, which includes 100 of the greatest players in the league’s 100-year history, but he was also named as the first recipient of the fieldXcellence Award for Commitment to Lifelong Learning alongside his wife, friend and business partner Monique Brown (pictured with their NextGen, Aris and Morgan).

“Jim and Monique’s wisdom, mentorship and contribution to build their own foundation

Amer-I-Can has influenced the successful

launching of fieldXperience,” said fieldXperience co-founder Sharyn Outtrim. “Jim and Monique Brown have been in our corner from day one and have given fieldXers opportunities beyond their wildest dreams.”

The Browns hosted two exciting events benefitting their foundation Amer-I-Can on on a luxury yacht on January 31 and then the Legends Dinner on February 1 on South Beach during the Super Bowl LIV festivities where fieldXers filled roles as guest greeters. “I think that fieldXperience is a marvelous tool to take these young adults from learning on their phones and then into real work experiences at events,” said Brown. “Their youthful enthusiasm to learn and master important skills like communication, problem-solving and empathy is a game changer for work and life success.”

In conjunction with the award, Jim and Monique have chosen 10 fieldX scholarship recipients. They will present the inaugural fieldX Lifelong Learners Scholarship to youth aging out of the foster care system where fieldXperience can then foster their education and career-ready skills so that they may have a brighter future.

Jim and Monique Brown, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being an inspiration to the next generation of talent.

Sharyn and Joey-Lynn Share Their Xperience

Sharyn Outtrim and Dr. Joey-Lynn Bialkowski spent some time at the inaugural Atlanta Hospitality Job Fair earlier this month where they gave a presentation to high school, college and vocational students on the benefits of getting real world experience.

Sharyn will also be speaking to the NCAA Final Four Class at Georgia State on March 25 to discuss ancillary hospitality and fan events around a sporting event. Each week, students enrolled in this class have the opportunity to hear from subject matter experts on a variety of topics. This is the sixth year in a row that Sharyn has been invited to speak to the next generation of sport and entertainment leaders.

fieldX MVP Highlight on Sebastian Muñoz

Sebastian Muñoz was such a standout as zone manager at COTA, host track for Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, that he leveled up and earned the fieldX MVP Award that includes an expenses-paid opportunity to work the NCAA® Men’s Final Four Championship in Atlanta from April 2-6.

“Sebastian jumped into his responsibilities with both feet and Xcelled in his duties as a COTA zone manager, really demonstrating the important fieldX problem solving skills,” said fieldX co-founder Dr. Joey-Lynn Bialkowski. “He truly deserves his MVP status and we look forward seeing him continue his success at Final Four and beyond!”

“I had a great Xperience learning the fieldX way of doing things, about COTA event itself — and a little bit more about how I work in a large event environment and deal with high-profile clients,” related Sebastian. As for future career aspirations, Sebastian plans to earn his Ph.D. in pursuit of his dream job as the Minister of Sport of Chile.
